Tuscany, a region of Italy, is found north of Rome. Its main city is Florence, followed by Siena, Pisa, Prato and Lucca. Tuscany is very colorful and offers endless scenery of its many olive groves, grape vineyards and sunflowers which create a unique charm. Tuscany is most famous for its wine, especially the regions of Chianti, Vernaccia and Brunello. There is a multitude of precious works of art in museums and historic buildings some of which date back to the days of the Roman Empire. According to the Italian Ministry of Culture and Environment, half of the historic art masterpieces are located in villages of less than 15,000 people.

You will find hilltop villages surrounded by towers and castle ruins, old city gates, Roman roads and bridges, overlooking vineyards and fields. There is plenty to see in this region!
